Catie Smith
Sunshine Music Studios Owner
Catie was born and raised in Glenview, Illinois. From
a young age, music has been her passion. Catie graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a degree in music
education and is licensed to teach music in both Colorado and California. She is also a member of the local and national chapters
of the Early Childhood Music and Movement Association. After graduating, Catie moved to San Diego where she taught private
piano, voice and guitar lessons as well as Mommy and Me classes at Nightingale music studio. In 2006, Catie moved to
Lake Foerst to become the preschool through 8th grade music teacher at Montessori on the Lake in Lake Forest. In
2007, Catie started Sunshine Music Studios where she facilitates private lessons and "Mommy and Me" music classes.
