The three
levels are designed to work together. Concepts that children are introduced to as infants are built upon and
cultivated through the preschool level.
Multiple children in a family:
If you have children in different age groups, the best option is usually to put
them in our Family classes or in the higher level. The younger children will get the same enrichment, and the older
ones will have an extra challenge to keep them excited.
Infant Class (6 months - 18 months):
Classes are very
interactive. Caretakers and babies will experience many fun activities that they can do together at any time.
During these classes, the caretakers help the babies feel a steady beat, play an instrument, move to the music and play musical games.
This is an important time to expose babies to new sounds, instruments, movements and songs.
Toddler Class (18
months-3 years):
Toddlers are on the move and ready to explore! Music classes provide toddlers with new experiences
in a safe and welcoming environment. Toddler classes are the bridge between infant and preschool classes. Toddlers
still get to experience all the bonding activities with their caretakers like in the infant classes, but they are now
able to do many activities on their own as well. While many songs are the same as in the infant classes, more advanced music,
movement and theory are incorporated at this level. For example, children will be exposed to musical ideas such as forte
(meaning loud) and piano (meaning soft).
Preschool Class (3-5 years):
Preschool classes
are a fun time for children to sing, play instruments and move freely. Caretakers take on the role of freind playing
along with the child rather than helping them do everything. Children are encouraged (not forced) to sing along with
the music, keep a steady beat on there own, read simple rhythms and perform the major scale. Children are also
given a chance to express how they would like to do certain activities. This helps them feel involved in the
creative process.
Family (6 months - 5 years):
Family classes
are for moms with more than one child and for moms with limited time options. Even if you only have one child, you
are welcome to enroll in our Family class. Family classes are a combination of Infant, Toddler and Preschool Classes.
